OviVixen Arcade 2.0 Overhaul: Any suggestions?

Before I begin making OviVixen’s first game pack, I have to break down and rebuild up the arcade version and probably add more features in the launcher.

Some of the improvements include:

A Proper Resolution: An issue in the older version of Clickteam made me keep the arcade game in a constant 16:9 resolution despite the game’s window being 4:3 (that’s why the launcher also has a fixed 16:9 ratio). The updated Clickteam 2.5 probably remedied the whole issue, so I can revert the game back to its actual resolution. The problem doing so is the game has to be taken apart completely and put back together just so it doesn’t introduce new bugs. If successful, I can give both the game and the launcher a more flexible resolution option and have it translate to future game packs.

Improve Sound Quality and Music: From what I hear while testing the game, is some popping in some of the sound effects. To be honest, I’m a little stumped as to how to fix it, but it is a major priority! Level Music was something I wanted to add in the game, but the deadline was to hectic to create and add in. In the 2.0 update, there will be level music, and it may replace the Sprite’s walking sound effects.

More bug fixes: What frustrates me the most, and probably most developers share the same feeling, is bugs that were found the day before release, and may take an hour or two to fix! One was a visual glitch involving an egg being laid not completing its animation if another dormant egg is immediately destroyed. There is another bug I can recall that involves the final boss; however, I couldn’t replicate it, and it seems like such a rare occurrence.

To those who have played my game, if you have any suggestions, critiques, or bug notices, please post in the comments and I will respond to you as soon as possible!

Thanks for playing!
